This video of the ‘ Negro National Anthem’ was originally screened at the historic African-American Church Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC on January 18th, 2009. Many of the esteemed individuals featured in this video were presented with the ‘ Keepers of the Flame’ award for the monumental contributions to social justice.

This historical presentation highlights African American History through selected images and events from the arrival from the continent of Africa through the election of the first African American president, Barack Obama. This educational booklet provides a brief description of the extraordinary accomplishments and contributions that these selected African Americans have made to the United States and the world.
