Our Mission

The Lincolnville Preservation and Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Lincolnville. Through education, community engagement, historical preservation, and economic development, we strive to honor the legacy of those who shaped our community while inspiring future generations to cherish and uphold its unique history.

The Lincolnville Preservation & Historical Society is a 501c.3, not-for-profit organization.


2025 Green Tie Award

Dr. Pernessa C. Seele, was a recipient of the prestigious 2026 Green Tie Award along with South Carolina Senator Michael Johnson and House Representative Mark Smith.  The Annual Green Tie Award, presented by the Conservation Voters of South Carolina, celebrates elected and civic leaders who stand up in the South Carolina General Assembly and their own communities to protect South Carolina’s air, land, and water. 

Key aspects of the Green Tie Awards include:

  • Purpose: To recognize and celebrate individuals working on environmental policy, conservation, and environmental justice.
  • Honorees: Awards are given for categories such as House and Senate Conservation Leadership, recognizing actions like promoting renewable energy, land conservation, and sustainable development.
  • Community Impact: The event brings together a diverse mix of supporters, including business leaders, politicians, and advocates, to foster collaboration.
  • Significance: It is widely considered a premier event for the conservation community in South Carolina to highlight successes in protecting the state's natural resources.
